i THINK MY SAUER M90 in 458 win mag is the best fine rifle ever made, anyone agree. If you hav'nt had the pleasure of one in your hands then your missing something huge in your life.

can't argue with your rifle.I am a Weatherby fan Buuuuut Sauer has life saving dangerous game stopping stuff I like in a rifle.

rules in gun land, never let a gun go,and always buy them.I bought my sauer grand african and will never sell it. Have hunted Grizz 3 times with it.Will die with it.

Gorgeous rifle with the slickest bolt operation around...
Wonder why the stopped building it such a great rifle????

Feed it a hot load and tell us what you think of it! :D

I had 65D Shultz & Larsen in 7x61, let it go ten years ago and regreting it ever since. Supper acurate and slickiest action going bar none.

My 308 Norma Magnum is a 65DL and my 7x61 S&H is a 68DL. I hope to eventually get a Schultz & Larsen in 358 Norma Magnum but in the meantime I have a 'pretty' Husqvarna in 358 NM coming. If it shoots as good as it looks I may well forget about a Schultz in 358 NM. ;)Key word is may:).

Well, 358 NM is overkill cartridge in 99,9% of hunting in North America, but in north B.C. Yukon
and Alaska I wouldn't mind to carry extra power and extra weight for the peace of mind. 458 WM is good cartridge for elephants in heavy African bush but 90+% of them are killed with 375 HH without complaints. Sauer mod 90 is a nice rifle, handles well but it is twice as much expensive as Shultz & Larsen and not even half as good. Mine with bolt oppened and tilted to the rear 10 deg max, the bolt would slide back like it was on the roller bearings. Litle bit on the heavy side of things but accuracy matters more than litle extra weight. Massive, precision made and stiff action with target grade barrels, reasonable price, what's not to like?I am constantly on the lookout for another one.

My vote goes to the Remington 700,one of the most accurate factory rifles, more aftermarket parts avail. then all others combined, and very cost effective.

Hold it, hold it. The tread is about the best factory produced rifle ever. I can see the good points in HS Precision's, Dacota's, Cooper's or Sako's but if you compare Shultz & Larsen to Remington's, Lee Enfields and Mauser's then you don't know what you are talking about!

My vote goes to the Mauser 98 with a slight preference for the original "c" type inner receiver ring over the "h" type ring. Other than for highly specialized applications, such as benchrest rifles, there has been no major improvement in bolt action design since then.

savage 10fcp gets my vote. Affordable and the closest thing to a laser gun I have ever shot. Plus in my opinion it is rugged as hell. No plastic, all metal.
