Best "El Chepo" .22?

My vote for cheap and accurate goes to either the Norinco NS522 or a used Schultz and Larsen. Some of the Schultz and Larsen's clean up pretty nice too, here's how the stock on mine turned out after a refinish with linseed oil.

The Norinco isn't too bad once you strip off the horrible brown paint or stain that they came with. Needs a scope riser for how high my scope is though.

I will go with those who recommended the Savage MkIIF with Accutrigger. Mine shoots as well as, and sometimes better than my CZ452 Style and Varmint. On a good day, 1 inch 5-shot groups at 100 meters with Winchester Dynapoint bulk ammo. My Savage MKIGY is just as accurate at shorter ranges as well, but haven't tried it at 100 meters.

My Marlin 981T (had two of them) is almost as good (1.5 inch groups on a good day), but decided to just keep my Savages and CZs.

My vote is for a used Schultz & Larsen M70 from tradex, for the quality I believe them to be cheap.
