Best ever 50 yard score

Thanks Guys :)

EB: While my CZ 452 is a good shot, it can not stack up against some of my benchrest guns. With Lapua superclub, I might be able to score 225-230 with it on this target, which isn't a bad score. At 25 yards, maybe 248 or so. My CZ 452 shoots similar to my custom 10/22. The difference? My 10/22 is worth about $900.

Jordan; Same USBR target. I was using the 6.5-20 EFR on my rifle. Question.....Have you ever tried really long range with your rimfires? Say 200 meters? I have experimented quite a bit way out there just to get some idea of the consistency of 22 rimfire ammo, and it's amazing what good ammo will do, particularly if sorted. I have one 5-shot group that is under 2" at 200. Regards, Eagleye.

I have been searching for about 1/2 an hour now and I can't find the page I'm thinking of. I don't know why I don't have a bookmark for it. Anyway, speaking of long distance shooting, I seem to recall a 300m/yard buffalo 22LR silhouette match somewhere in the States. Sounds like quite a hoot. Wish I could find the URL, though.

nice seeing you and your dad at the range today, Jordan. :)

edit - you guys will definitely have to come give that silhouette match a try, great fun. And I'd be quite interested in taking a few shots with that 452 of yours, I'm still thinking of getting one of those to go along with the Savage. ;)

Never tried it at the longer ranges. Reason beeing is because the range I shoot at only goes out to 100 yards. I have shot some fairly decent 100 yard groups though ;)

Nice seeing you to. I will try to get out that Silhouette match one of these days. The CZ would be the gun I would bring.... :)

Silhouette's obviously not as disciplined as bench-rest is, the targets you have to hit are a pretty decent size. Although you are shooting all the targets off-hand, so it is a different routine, too. Pretty fun. I want to come out and see the next bench-rest shoot, so I imagine I'll see you guys there, too.

Jordan I don`t care if you`re shooting solid gold bullets that $100 each, that is some fine shooting.
Man I would strutting around like a Peacock in heat if I could shoot like that.:p

He is a crack shot eh! So come clean, whats that ammo your shooting cost you , and how will by the brick Wal*Mart STUFF fair from the same rig ? :runaway:

Ammo costs a little more than $10 a box :D. It aint no bulk ammo  :D.

Never tried any high velocity ammo in that gun (now will I ever) but I imagine it would shoot like cr@p ;).

Here is a group I shot yesterday. Same gun... ammo... ect :D

Give it a try. Go to the top of the rimfire page. I run several beenchrest matches at 50 yards. Try it out in one of those matches and post your results in the enter scores thread... :)

Jordan,
I checked out your targets for the postal matches, but where do you get the official USBR targets from your pictures? I found some practice targets on the Eric Brooks webpage that were similar enough for practice, but it would be nice to get some of the real thing too.
http://cz452.com/ and click on USBR practice targets at the bottom of the page.

I really get a kick out of how you shoot the center out of the USBR logo shield. I'm impressed!

ps. small hijack... for anybody who's looking for other sample targets in PDF format, try here: http://www.uspalma.com/Targets/targets.htm
