Best Group of the day from my K31

When I tried the Hydraulic method, I needed 0.311" diameter rod shaft to fit fired GP11 brass.
When resizing, remember to remove the Boxer de-caping pin.
Can't get very far when the pin meets the bottom of the Berdan primed case.

The first attempt my punch was to big I had to size with expander removed then again with expander so sanded some more off punch now it works with one pass
Trial and error method taught me to remember to remove recapping pin too

Don't want to brag, but I did this at 100 yards, 5 shots of GP11, with the original open sights during the first weeks I had my K31. I have never been able to do this since

that's pretty damn nice!! my best group is about double that.

I am basically "using the Force" tho, as I cannot see the hits. I just aim at the same place and hope for the best.

Does a muzzle brake reduce the "abrupt" recoil of GP11?

I suspect if you hand load you can get your scope to last. GP11 is very "abrupt" in how it recoils.

My hand loads using 38-39 grains of a few different powders are very soft shooting.

The K31 I shoot the most is scoped and has a muzzle brake, will this ameliorate the scope wrecking tendencies of the GP11 ammo?

My Swiss Rifle Club has women and kids shooting the k31.
We do keep a couple of K31s with the brakes for those cases that need the reduction.

As far as scope wrecking is concerned, that maybe a effect of cheaper mass production practices in certain unnamed countries.

Where is the Swiss Rifle Club located in Montreal?
Thanks!

Yup - killed it in 8 months. The K31 just claimed a Bushnell as well. I need scope suggestions. ;)
I'm using a 6x M8 Leupold 1/2 " groups with handloads and better with GP11 wacked a mulie last fall with it.....cut the chain on a 300 yard gong.....Harold
