Best. Holster. Ever.

Finally, I have a reason to like the SERPA (but only just a little).
Any good holster has to be usable with the weak hand as well, if I could use my right hand with that holster I'm not sure what to do, it takes two hands to use a hammer and chisel.

What a contraption.... it looks like a serpa blended with a raptor.... and does it not appear more dangerous to be loading the gun everytime you draw over just carrying condtion 1? Do you need to unload it everytime before holstering? Or the next time you draw it just ejects and wastes a round?

As far as I am concerned if you are going to carry for defence then there is only either condition 1 or 0 depending on your gun of course!

How complex do we really need to make holsters? As was said, the "Canadian" answer to a question that makes no sense.

That cannot be a "Canadian answer" since it is not made out of back bacon and requires poutine to work.

Probably will be so damn expensive that they won't ever be issued, however in an area of high chance of a stolen weapons, maybe a prison or something CQ it could be a good tool even though it is insanely over safe. If you train and that will requires oodles of training, it will be next to impossible for someone to figure it out before you have the chance to react. In fact you can probably take a nap and read a book before the guy manages to finally unlock it. Then he will wonder why there is no round in the chamber.

LOL now that's some funny sh*t! :D

No wonder the cops are more prone to call in the tac teams, too much hassle using their own gear.

Mind you since they're in full support of our gun laws and enforcing them to the T, I'm in full support of this holster system!

This is the new "Trudeau" model, from Lieberal Holsters Inc. The design will be foisted on... er introduced to the CACP next year. It has been developed over the past 20 years using grants from the National Research Council, so far less than $1 billion has been spent and it is anticipate that no more than another $1.3 Billion will be needed to perfect the final design.

Well I like the whole push down to load it thing but not all the safety devices on it one push button is enough but I don't like carrying a gun loaded without a safety on it this solves the problem...but thats just me

Pfffft. Thats not the best holster ever this is::D

I'd like to order one of those for my 1911 please. :p

I think you guys are being a bit too harsh.

This is a prototype, right?

Of the total negligent discharges, how many are with glocks? How many of those are in the hands of LEOs?

I agree that three buttons/levers is too much (two max!), and if he were to add an ejection port, it would avoid possible jams. I can't quite tell what it's made out of, but if it's polymer (reinforced with steel, if absolutely necessary), it shouldn't weigh all that much.

He doesn't need to fumble with a strap around the back of the pistol, and there is little risk of it falling out/getting stolen.

Why not give him some feedback, rather than just berating him?

beleive it or not, there is a way to rack the slide of a 1911 while in the M3 holster- we were shown this in basic- can't remember how to do it now, and it was in the manual for a while, but after certain members ended up with holes in their thighs and an extended stay in hospital, along with an inquiry board hearing, the rest of us went back to carrying "cocked and locked"- this so-called "holster" accomplishes much the same thing- if you need that level of security for weapon retention, you SHOULDN'T BE CARRYING

The Glock has 3 safeties! All of them are turned off when you pull the trigger. Don't pull the trigger and three separate devices are preventing a round from discharging. Drop that MOFO from a plane, long as the trigger doesn't catch a branch on the way down, it ain't gonna go off. If you can't keep your booger picker off the bang switch, please, do not ever carry any sort of gun, including paintball or airsoft.
