Best Lightweight Deer Brush Gun

Rem 7600 carbine 35W
Rem 7600 carbine 3006
Rem 760 carbine 308
Marlin 336 30-30
Marlin 1895 SBL 4570
Which ever one I feel like grabbing on any given day!

This is my choice for deer out here in NS. 7x57 Mauser, 38.75" oal and 6lb 12.5oz. Makes for a very handy little package. Toying with the idea of swapping out the 2.5x Leupold for a 1.5-5x but time will tell if I do or don't.

I'm in the minority here and don't take head shots.

I was just funnin on the easterners, that rifle is a real beauty, great set up! Love the fixe 2.5 on it also, if trijicon or leupold could add a lighted dot to some of these lighter 1" true hunters optics it's the only thing a guy would ask for over that, especially if 'no batteries' required

That is the nicest set up I have seen in a long time, beautiful rifle with sensible scope choice, I would not change a thing!!

Very nice and useful rifle here on the east coast and the rest of Canada.

I was going to put a 1.5-5 on mine but went with a 2.5-8 instead. It's a very good scope for that rifle. Not changing it out.

Very nice! That leupold is a really good one for closer range shots, think is finding one for my 300 win mag.

That’s a real beauty. Do you have any more pictures and maybe some details?

Another vote for the Rem Model 7 or Ruger Compact 16.5". Here's my Compact in .300RCM. Fast handling in the bush, they pack a punch that can hit near or far.

Troy PAR Pump-Action Carbine in .300 Blackout with a 9" Barrel (Fixed Buttstock). Fast sighting with a 1x Micro-Prism etched-reticle scope, minimal recoil, very fast, with 10-rounds on board and super quick reloads. It really doesn't get any better for my brush hunting/bear-defence needs....

What do you think is the ideal light weight brush gun for the following:
-whitetail hunting
-lots of walking
-thick bush
-150 yards max shot

I have a CZ527 synthetic in 7.62x39 topped with a 2-7 that would work fine for this. Not crazy about the hanging mag, but good otherwise.

A Leupold fixed 4 would be a good choice as well.
