THIS PRODUCT IS NOT A WHMIS CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.

No idea what is in it.

Respiratory Protection:
Not normally required under intended conditions of use. If vaporization of oil component is
occurring (i.e. under conditions of high heat), use a NIOSH-approved chemical cartridge
respirator with organic vapour cartridges in combination with a P95 particulate filter.

If there are any vapours coming off of your rifle from this grease it may not be the best for your health.

After looking at a few msds's of canadian tire greases I found that either I can't read an msds and/or they tell you nothing of what is in the product other then protroleum.

Products of interest to me are:

Fluid Film (non toxic) I don't currently use this stuff in my AR15 but I would, specially way before anything like WD40. One of it's intended uses (listed on the can) is firearms.

Instead of gun scrubber/crud cutter the same thing in my mind for half the price is brake cleaner.

Well the is alot of bs pissing on this thread so I didnt read every post. I read a pile of them and found the link to which point to grease and what to oil etc. My r-25 was having major ftf issues with some ammo but fed umc stuff fine. I massaged the feed ramps a little and oiled the bolt plus added grease in the critical 4 points but nothing inside the bolt. All my issues I had in the past are now gone from what I could tell. Only put about 30 rounds through it, as I forgot my handload for my other rifle and had to use the other 50 I brought for my ar. I am going to head out again and hopefully this thread has cured any issues I had. Thanks all.

I went up to Canadian tire to find some informantion on that grease. What it's made out of and what not.

Canadian Tire took 15mins to find out that they don't have the MSDS on that grease. The fellow said I would have to contact motomaster to find out who supplies them with this product and then contact them to get the MSDS.

I would do that if I was limited to their product.

Ideally they would have the MSDS for 3-4 greases so that one could compare and see what they like.

Canadian tire not having the MSDS... not professional

Here is the reason:

Do consumer (restricted) products fall within the WHMIS legislation?
Consumer products are partially exempt. Such products are exempt from the federal (HPA and CPR) requirements for MSDS or supplier label. However, provincial OHS requirements for identification, workplace labelling and worker education and training are enforced.
