Best magazine for SKS

Remove the fixed mag, the Tapco ones slot right in - I think there is a how to article on their site. No modification needed.

There is Zytel detachable (fiberglass) and John Mason detachable (metal) 5 rounders. I bought one of each - waste of money. Zytel jammes rounds and Mason's spring needs to be completely remodified. Stay away of those.

I think the zytel ones are made by Cobray.

Metal ones work fine. Some people just don't know how to install those. Tapco is good too.

they work great no issues no differnt then when it had the duckbill, i have 6 chopped mags never a hickup. best mod to a bubbad sks that i have done. i give it 2 thumbs up .
i am about to put the adapters into 2 more sks i will update the duckbillless mag thread as soon as there done.
i have not yet tryed to chopp a steel mag yet but i am going to try as i have just gotten my hands on one.i belive the tapco are stronger though.

I'd LOVE to find a flush 5 rounder, I like the clean look but that drum magazine's pretty kewl.

I got two 5/5 'tapco' discontinued magazines I don't want anymore - does anyone want them? one has a cracked floor plate but still works, the other is unused and intact - looking to cut my losses on tapco products.

Edit: what no takers? statistics show that 14.29 % of all sks owners like tapco magazines.

Better off sticking with the original mag. What's the point of a big empty box hanging off the bottom of your rifle? Now if we didn't have the 5-round limit, it might be a different story.
