Best new .22 handgun?

Besides the S&W 17, 617, 41, and the Ruger MK 1, 11, the Browning Challenger is all carbon steel, made in Belgium and a you can find a decent one for $325 - $450.00. I have 2 and they both shoot better than my Ruger Mk II.I have an old High Standard Supermatic Trophy made in Hamden Conn made in 1968 that shoots as good as my S&W 41. All these older guns were very well made and their still around today because their quality builds.
The target is a homemade one I bodged together a while back when I needed some targets, quickly. they're printed on standard 8.5" x 11" paper. The black is 8". Shot at 50m.

Don't overlook the Ruger Mk. 1. If it's accuracy you want, here it is:
Keep an eye out at gunstores, and online dealers. You can find these in the $300 range. Mine has a great trigger, breaks around 2.5 lbs.
X2, I have one with a pencil barrel and can attest to it's accuracy and wonderful trigger. The 9 shot mag is a mind numbing puzzle though, and also tough to find these days. Blue air quantum is a 10/10 when detail stripping and reassembly...yes, I've done it many times and still curse every time.
Thanks, I always wondered if the thinner, tapered barrels were any less accurate. As to the stripping, I did it a few times, but haven't bothered for years- haven't needed to. There's a guy sells a product called the Majestic Speed Strip or something like that, and I really like the concept. Once installed, you can remove the whole bolt from the intact receiver/frame assembly by unscrewing an allen bolt. That simple, and he claims it will reduce the trigger pull weight to around 3.5 lbs. I considered it until I measured the pull weight I currently have, and decided to leave better alone!
I also have a 9 round mag, and 2 ten round mags that fit quite well. The heel trigger release never bothered me one bit, and I can live without the bolt staying open on an empty mag. Or make and install a longer follower. Rugerforum has directions for that, but I've never got around to it.
My tapered bbl Ruger MKiii is my favourite rimfire plinker. I've owned Ruger Bull barrels and Slab sides but can't tell you if there's a difference in accuracy.
This one balances the best in my hands...its Iconic. For under $400 delivered you get real steel.
thats what i have right now. its my first and only gun at the moment. waiting to get my club membership so i can shoot it.
im surprised this gun wasnt mentioned more in this thread as i've only seen good reviews about it.

LOL... center of the target. That group was shot with Win333 which prints at little high. Fed bulk prints a little lower. Have since adjusted the sights and brought the POI down some. I shoot mostly Fed bulk which groups about the same as the 333s.
Get some adjustable sights from Dlask. Beats the heck out of fiddling with front sights to change elevation and the fiber front sight is nice to use.
I should mention that my GSG is Armco tuned and the trigger is noticeably better than a stock trigger.
The target posted was shot with factory sights.
Haven't been able to do this with my Buckmark Hunter. Must be an ammo thing I guess.

My Sig1911-22 always shot high at 25yrds. Even with the tallest front sight. Come to think of it I used Win555's(same as 333's).
