Well after starting this thread I ended up with an FX9. It has been a great PCC. Reliable and accurate. It’s a pleasure to shoot and mods are easily done. I love this PCC. Glock mags have been a great set up.
Maybe next is the GHM9-G...
That is a great choice. I have the original 3 you listed as well as a Sub2K, but the FX9 has been by far my favourite. Shoots great, looks great, weight is great, controls are great, it is so so easy to take apart and clean. The only thing that is mildly irritating about mine is that the bolt catch/lock seems to release at various points for not consistent reason, sometimes not even triggered by any movement - but that's rather inconsequential compared to the benefits of the carbine. Also, the last round bolt hold open doesn't seem to agree with OEM Glock 17 mags and seldom works with them (works much better with Magpul).
The Ruger PC Carbine would be my second favourite. Not much to not like there except a more time consuming takedown, and the need to replace a few parts with MCarbo stuff (shock buffer, shock buffer clip, extractor, etc.). Mine has the aluminum handguard which makes it front heavy. Downside is the torq screws you need to loosen to take it apart. Mine are starting to strip, considering that I put the recommended 65lb / inch weight on it. Also if the trigger assembly comes out - look out - those pins fall out pretty easily.
The Kriss Vector I have found too heavy for me, and too bulky. I also am not a fan of that two-stage charging handle. It also doesn't shoot +P and warns the user not to use it. Accuracy is so-so, which is surprising given the price. The included hard case is useless if you put an optic on the Vector. Also, that elephant trunk rectangular shaped barrel is just beyond butt ugly. It doesn't sit well in my gun safe against the cut outs.
Sub2K was my first PCC. Folding is a nice novelty, but there are a few things on it that I have never really liked (built in sights terrible, extremely stiff charging handle in a not-too-great location, even after years of use - and the fact you need to buy a flip mount ($250+) to use an optic on it while keeping the folding option, without taking the optic off each time. My Sub2K is a .40 and maybe between the light weight and the larger caliber, I (and others at my club) have noticed much more felt recoil. Some members have indicated they don't find it comfortable to shoot with their external ear pro.
TNW ASR - liked it at first, but jams on some 147gr ammo. I do like the unscrew take-down. My kids seem to quite like this one until I got the FX9.
