I don't have one yet, but why can't you shoot targets at the same time?
Because of the arguements of POI change. (weight on barrel changing harmonics, hell even the blast change at the tip of the barrel might come into play)
I can toss rocks across the border and hit US soil if I walk south a few miles, no cost at all for me really. International Fall MN and Fort Frances ON would be one town is not for the river that is the international border.
I'd buy everything from the states in your situation! I don't like to abandon Canada, but until distributors become realistic on their pricing, I won't/can't afford thier added costs. If I can drive 3 hours to the border to pick up ONE item and drive it back, they can surely do it cheaper for 100's or thousands. My opinion of course.
Try buying a CANADIAN made snowmobile in the states. It's cheaper for us CDN citizens to drive down to the states, buy it from a dealership and drive it back here, import it, etc then to buy from a CDN dealership. That's F***ed.
Acura MDX, Toyota's, etc. All the same deal.
What's worse is there is a figurehead in automotive sales that came out years ago and said it's this way (in his words) "Because Canadians are willing to pay more".
Stop being willing!
One last item to end my rant. Shipping INSIDE US is dirt cheap. Shipping across the border is expensive. (even higher now after Jan 2013). So don't let CDN shipping rates defer you. Look at the compariable US shipping rates to the border. Often these are even free after a 100-150$ value.
Final Thoughts:
I know this will piss off any CDN stores, but here's the kicker. Don't be pissed at the consumer. Be pissed at your distributor. Think outside the box to keep YOUR cost low, so you can keep your YOUR mark-up higher and still keep YOUR customers. I hate the shame going on for the last 6-8 years put on the consumer when they are trying to find the best deals. It should go the other way. Not to mention stand for 100% mark-up on items.
So for the rest of us, enjoy your US shopping and revel in the fact you can now buy more, shoot more, and pay less.
/rant.
(Just make sure your items aren't covered under the rediculous rules of the US exporting firearms, parts, etc)
