Not trying to be a wet blanket here, but unless you are an experienced caster, I wouldn't cast for .22 cal. rifles. After 50 + years of casting, I sold all of my .22 casting gear. It can get pretty challenging in the small calibres. Back in the seventies, I assassinated several dozen gophers with a Brno .22 Hornet. I had no trouble getting one inch at 50 yards. Beyond that accuracy went down the toilet in a hurry. Nowadays, I shoot only at a range with 100 yards minimum, and don't need any extra challenges.
So, if you're in an area where you can stalk the wily ground squirrel, then casting for the small bores can be rewarding. Otherwise, I would stick to .30 cal and larger.
