calagry shooting center tey are the repair center and have the best inventory of the swissarms
It's listed there for $3499.99 -- more than Wolverine's price so not all that awesome...
How is this straying off course? By members offering experienced/past purchase advise to a member so he could potentially save $1,000?
Question = "Best place to buy Swiss Arms Classic Green?"
Posts = round count & barrel life
i have to ask what makes a swiss arms so bloody expensive in canada? i dont think its due to how rare it is. so do these rifles have gold plated bolts and platinum trigger groups or something?![]()

"I don't quite follow.....A rifle that has fired 15000 rounds on Semi auto is going to be in WAY better shape than a rifle that fired that same amount of rounds on full auto. Full auto guns get hot, and the heat contributes greatly to wear on the weapon. Are you suggesting the opposite? Like, that a semi auto would wear faster for some reason???
If a full auto barrel will last a minimum of 15000 rounds then a Semi auto barrel should last for many more rounds than that."
That's what I was trying to convey - the number in the manual (which includes FA fire) is going to be lower than the actual number of rounds the barrel will last in Canada (with SA fire and restricted mag capacities)
As this thread strays off course as they all seem to do here...
I got mine from P&D Enterprise for $2999 + GST. in 2010 year end. I am pretty sure u can find one at just about $3000. Anything more than $3200 this day is not a good deal. I have seen someone bought two at the same one for himself one for his friend , list price $3300 sold for $2940, sometimes earlier this year @ Targ?t ?po?t. Just wish to give u a rough on low the price the dealer willing to sell it. All I mention above are Brand New Full Size 20" barrel
Also just as a side note I would handle one before buy if you haven't already might be common sense but meh I thought it was worth mentioning.
Most places with new stock are $3500+. Elwood is just under $3800 as well.I have been looking around for like a good month now and can not seem to find a Classic Green with the diopter sight. All of the ones I seem to find are all that flat top non sense. Also for who ever mentioned Calgary Shooting Club, that was the most expensive place I have found them at I believe it was 3799.99 which is a bit high. Also just as a side note I would handle one before buy if you haven't already might be common sense but meh I thought it was worth mentioning.
