Best powder for heavy bullets in 300 RUM?

I have always shot 160, and recently 180 gr in my 300 RUM, and have had amazing accuracy with IMR 7828. I built up these small, fast loads to shoot the 1000 yard deer, offhand, while standing on 1 foot, in a crossbreeze, with ease. Well, I'm older and wiser now, and that just never happened, and now I know better. I would like to build a heavier bulet load and zero my rifle at 100 where I'm seeing the deer, not 300 so I have to do the math backwards to take the head off a grouse with my rediculously overpriced 24x scope.

So now I'll get to the point, what powder do you use for the heavier bullets? IMR 7828 seems to be out of stock everywhere, I'd like to get MOA at 100, what powder do I try first? I have found the 300 RUM to be most accurate near the top of the powder range with the small bullets, is it the same with 220 gr?

I have loaded the 200 grain Partition using Retumbo, with excellent results.
I also had good success with H5010, but it is not available any more.
Others worth trying might be Vihtavuori N570, Reloder 25, Ramshot Magnum and AA8700.
Eagleye.

I've read on here that Retumbo is one of the worse powders for poor lot to lot consistency. I have been looking at it for some 210gr loads in .300WM and was wondering if anyone can comment one way or the other on the consistency.

I also want to get a .300 RUM in the future so this would also help in the long term.

My retumbo load has worked the same for the last 4 lbs. You can get it in 8lb jugs so "consistency" is spread over 600 or so reloads.

I loaded 220gr nosler round nose with 3 each 84,88,92 and 94 gr of the retumbo. Hopefully report back on the weekend.

I use 92 g of RL 25 with Nosler 200 grain Partition for less than .80 " with a MV of slightly more than 3100 fps. Have had great success on a cow moose and numerous deer with this load

Ic stevespage has max at 96.1 as well for the 220's. For 200abs stevespage lists 96.0 and hodgdon max is 95.5g. I've used 95.5 but was getting ejector marks so I backed it off and found a node at 94.8g that shoots 3"-3.5" @ 400yds.
Fww I'd try 88.5g and 89.0 as well in your test .

....or the life of one 300 RUM barrel! j/k

I've had good luck with RL 25 and 200 AB's. 87.5gn for 3145fps out of a Sendero.

I tried US869 and as Andy mentioned, good velocity but the accuracy wasn't there for the few loads I tried.

I have a pound of Retumbo to try but haven't gotten to it yet.
