I have a Vortex Diamondback HP 3-12x42 and find its the most finicky scope I own, very slight movement and your out of the scope. Your cheek weld has to be 100% in the same spot with not a hair difference or the scope has those big black edges. I believe this is called a very poor "eye box". I find the resale sucks on these so I resorted to putting it on my sons .22 LR. I did like the Viper PST 2.5-10x32 I owned but would never buy a Vortex product below that again.
