Because of all the nonsense surrounding ARs, I was looking to get a pump action to try and scratch that itch. To my knowledge there is the Taipan, PND, and Troy PAR on the market. And the Lockhart conspiracy supposedly in development. Which do you think is the best option? I was leaning towards the new Taipan EVO due to its improved bolt hold open, ability to swap triggers, the option of both side charge and pump, and that you can swap out the strange thumbhole stock. I don't like the polymer lower or the lack of an action lock (similar to a shotgun). Would you guys recommend something else? Is there any reason to go side charge only like the Renegade? I've never had any experience with Crusader and we're all aware of their reputation, any reason to instead go with the backland hunter elite (supposing that the issues have actually been worked out)? Or do you think the chimera/alcor is the way to go with a furniture swap?
