Best rifle and caliber for large varmits to medium sized game?

Did you get a Centerfire yet?
I just bought a Tikka T3 Hunter (wood/blued) in 222 Remington. It's the best out-of-the-box rifle I have ever purchased ! ! !
I load my own for another 222 and the first time to the range I brought some ammo I had rolled-up for the other one.
The T3 put 5 into a single ragged little hole!!!
Amazing acuracy for a gun I have done absolutely nothing to !
Also, the fit and finish is great and the bolt is silky smooth.
All in all I think it's a great gun.
Ellwood Epps has them for just over $700. You might find a more cost effective one used if you look around a bit.
Caliber choice is up to you but I'd suggest 243 if you're hunting everything with it.
243 is wicked on everything you plan to shoot !
