Heres my submission

Great looking pistol, with a bunch of nice features.

That's like asking what is the cheapest, fastest Ferrari pickup truck that get's 1000km per diesel tank and has a ten foot turn radius. :)

If and when you can shoot as good as a Browning Buckmark or Ruger Mark II can deliver, you will be a very god shot. The Ruger IMHO is a great starter and keeper unless you want to move to Olympic grade pistols. The Hammerli Excesse guns are very accurate as well but a little more pricey used.

I still think its pretty tough to beat the good old Ruger MkII. Super accurate, crazy reliable and (despite what the internet will tell you) not difficult to clean and maintain. I have had mine for 25 years and I have only needed to replace a $3 spring that broke after tens of thousands of rounds.

I use my Buck Mark SS Camper for Steel Challenge. The best thing about it is it's dead reliable round after round and over several years has almost never had a FTE or FTF

Anytime. :)

Seriously, depends on use.
I prefer front mag loaders such as Pardini, Walthers, Hammerli, and Tesro, but they're not cheap.
Good value in the long run. Ergonomics, triggers and sights are worth it.

Sold off my High Standard Supermatic, keeping my IZh-35M until I can afford a new slide, and target shoot a Pardini SP New and a GSP in .32SWL.
Also keeping a Mab model F since it was a gift.

Have no use for fiber sights as they are, to me at least, a distraction on focusing on the front sight at NRA and ISSF competition distances.

With your criteria it's tough to beat any of the Rugers from MKII to MKIV. From my experience all they need is a good trigger (Volquartsen, etc.) and maybe a set of grips that fit your hand properly and you're good to go.

I also love my S&W model 41 but the price has gotten nuts lately.

Yes, Seriously.

This is why i cancelled my First CGN account. I for one have no idea why someone that sits on the computer all day and racks up "Post's" has more say, or is given more right to be a huge #ickhead to anybody for asking a question. Just because the question is not asked in the correct format that a "CGN KING" prefers. Nobody on here has any idea the level of Firearms training, experience, knowledge, or education based on someones "posts counter". It might just be the possible that it is the opposite.

Years ago when this forum started it was a place for support, honest and polite opinions, and tips and tricks. Now it has degraded into forum of "snarky" comments, name calling, over confident keyboard jockeys, and a ADMIN team that only cares about money and paid supporters. Too many times have i seen this garbage behavior to new members, when they should instead be welcoming. I can guarantee that 99% of these comments would not be said to peoples faces, for obvious reasons, and I dont agree that it should be done on here just because you cant see them.

You guys can have your forum, and i will stick too hunting, target shooting, dust bowl plinking, and supporting my local gunshops instead of using the EE were the "CGN KINGS" try to drive up prices on used garbage.

Well, OK then. I guess I've been told.

If you look, most of the replies to your question (including my 2nd post) were serious and thoughtful. I wouldn't have taken diopter's first post as anything other than a good humoured dig....but to each his own

Is it tiring carrying that big of a chip around on your shoulder?
