Makes those VX111s we were getting for $425 just a little while back seem like a smoking deal now.
Same with the $375 Conquests. Still, in the big picture we can't complain too much. A 3.5-10 Vari-X 111 would use up most of $1000 bill with 2 taxes in when I got married 20 years ago. The newly released B&L 4000 that my wife bought me instead came home for $550. It's in a landfill somewhere, but I digress. In price adjusted dollars the prices have come down.

Beg, steal or borrow, but get a VX3 (maybe 3.5-10x40). You will never have to shop for optics again.
Good price for that scope. I have been admiring that scope for a while but never pulled the trigger because all the prices I found were almost double that.
Save and get the Zeiss conquest 3-9x40mm W/S has it for $649.99 you will not regret it. Leupolds are just not what they used to be, specifically the adjustment mechanism being a plastic turret instead of the double metal "coin" adjustment of old.
