i built a ruger 10/22 bench gun this winter.
im into it for around $1250.
love the gun, it was a lot of fun to build and rebuild.
if i had to do it again i would.
but if i had to do it a third time id call Mil-Arm and they can order ya in a VQ gun, haha, but that takes up to a year to get in.
if you jump fast, Joe Brooks has a boat load of Kid stuff in stock, you could build a Kid gun (barrel, reciever, trigger, bolt) and slap it on a Boyd or Hogue stock and your set.
thats IF they still have stuff in stock, it goes UBER fast.
if they are out then it will probably be 6 months till you see any more Kid stuff around.
its hard stuff to get.
but its worth it!
VQ is good, i run it in one of my guns.
i would rate it just a hair below Kid.
at any rate, welcome to the addiction.
we meet every Tuesday night, coffee and doughnuts are at the back of the room.
oh, and you can save yourself a butt of $ by using Dlask parts, plus they are canadian.
they make hell'a good receivers, barrels and and misc small parts for your build.
