Best Shotgun for three gun

It is legal as long as the semi auto shotgun can't hold more than 5 of the largest shell it is chambered for.

There's a brand spankin' new M2 (21'', comfort tech, field grip model) heading my way as I type.

All this for $1,570. Just couldn't pass up on that price, especially for a 21'' model as the next cheapest I was quote was $1,725, all from CGN business.

Question is now which Nordic mag tube extension to order - max length allowed up here or a longer tube, plug it and then remove it when south of the border.

Nice find!.

And yes, that should work.

For what it's worth, the Nordic Tube that came on my Versa Max Tactical is ten inches long. This gives me 8 + 1 x 2.75 inch shells. The plug I made reduces this to 6 + 1 x 2.75 or 5 x 3.00 shell capacity. My chamber is marked for 3 inch shells.

IIRC the Nordic +4 tube is 10 inches, so probably what came with your VMT.

The +3 wouldn't require a plug and give 6 + 1 of 2.75.

I'd have kept my 930 if I could have got a threaded-for-chokes barrel in the 22-24" range.

Having replaced it with a VersaMax, I couldn't be happier. Chokes, extra round in the tube, easier to ghost load, and not fussy at all about the target loads I feed it. Worth every penny over the 930, IMO.

Didn't want another gun, just the barrel.

I really hope Mossberg will start selling this barrel on it's own. (22" Vent-Rib, Accu-choke)

There's a ton of 930s out there. If you want to shoot 3-gun with a 930, this is THE barrel to have on it.

While i love my 930, the design isn't perfect.

One of the biggest things that bothered me was the forend that extends back abit and partially covers the receiver. I trimmed mine as as much as I dared and beveled the edge, but it still interfered with me when I was going fast on the reloads (probably because of my fat useless fingers)

Benelli's don't have that issue because the forend tapers back and matches the receivers shape. For me, it was easier and I spent less time thinking about it.

That and the no choke option. If I recall correctly, Mossberg will not sell barrels sperately?. Otherwise, it is hard to knock on the 930.
