Best Shotgun for Zombie defence?

Remington 870 12g. XCS marine magnum with side saddle, speed feed stock and sling. It'll carry 17 rounds on it.

How about my newly re-designed A5...dependable, fast, fun...
http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=419871

However, I will agree with the others who suggested a light primary with a shotgun secondary...

My personal choices (from my current inventory...)
-Colt C8 AR with LOTS of mags OR CZ858 (oh how those 7.62x39 rounds eat zombies!)
-Tactical A5 with low recoil OO shells
-Glock 22
-Sig Moquito (...just for close range and ease of ammo...)

As for transportation, I have LOTS of cars...Provided that there is no EMP bursts of nuclear problems that may affect computers, my 98 Chev Tahoe.

If computers were SNAFU, then I have a 73 Chevelle, 41 Plymouth hotrod and 84 Z28 which are ALL naturally aspirated and devoid of computers. Hmmm...been stockpiling ammo..better start stockpiling fuel!

This thread is fun...

40mm grenades. belt fed. everyone knows zombies travel in groups.

you can take out several at once.

then, when your belt is used up, the 416 would be my choice, prices and availability notwithstanding,

HK416_GLM416_417_links.jpg

and then a (very reliable) shotgun and .45, .357 or .50AE handgun as backups.

also, when all else fails,

KABAR

I still like the Winchester SX3:

That and the Brownings related to it are the fastest semi-autos currently made, AFAIK....

Oh, and maybe this guy...:D....:

Its not really what shotgun you use, but rather the type of ammo you use, bird shot won't take out a zombie head, but number two shot will, the bigger the shot the more damage done.

I'd love to get my little paws on a SRM Model 1216. 16 shots of buckshots/slugs in a semi auto would be kind of nice.

Failing that, Neostead would be next on my list of anti-zombi shotguns...

I love my 590A1... But if I wasn't ready to leave my house to the undead and I had a good stockpile of ammo the AA12 would be tough to beat... After a while the area would be so slick with gore that the zombies wouldn't be able to advance... and if we had those newfangled high-speed zombies the AA12 would be just perfect.
