Best single shot?

I traded a mechanical part for this weird .410 long barreled hit grouse thing a ma-jig
single shot that wouldn't trigger the CFC registry inventory.
It is cool in the way the barrel gets broke open.
Hook your nose picking finger over the front of the trigger guard and give'er a tug.
Barrel flops down. Toss a round in and flip your wrist to close the action.
I have it down to a gesture. Pull, drop, toss, flip, aim and shoot.
Feathers fly.
May just post it yet.
In the mail is Beaner's Christmas present, so she may not need this grouse
getter.
Four ten single shots are the in for us shakey old kritters.

ANY single shot shotgun is a stable unit... don't worry about one bad experience... it's essentially a tube with a hammer... just find the one that fits you best... for me it was the ones I listed... but i wouldn't balk at any of the other choices...

Is it the Italian made Galef? It was a hammerless design with the standard trigger, and in front, another 'trigger' to break open the action on the hinge to break open forward, just like a Cooey 84.
Had this one in 12 gauge that did not "like" high brass or hot handloads.
With slugs or buckshot the extractor refused to budge them out of the chamber.
Too bad, because it was a very light upland gun for all day carry. It's one good point.
It's long gone and I don't really miss it.

I'll have to go find the paper work for it.
CBC maybe?
Neat .410. Not high quality, just easy to manipulate.
No thumb to get in the way.
Pull the guard and the barrel drops.
Place in a shell and flip the wrist to close it up.
Slick, easy and a long enough barrel to reach out there a bit.

I think I just got luck out and bought one that was already damaged. I plan to get it exchanged or fixed this week.

A Remington 812 or CIL 401, same gun,... all made in brazil I think.. is a great single shot.

My buddy is deadly on chickens with his .410. I have cut down a 12 gauge to a 19" barreled pistol and I got about 15 grouse this year with it.

I made it to carry when I am hiking in to a lake or something and want a small light powerful gun with me. Sure beats a pocket knife :)

I have no complaints, it's decent looking and shoots well.
