Best TactiCOOL .22 rifle ... non-restricted... stupid gun laws

I really want to get my hands on one of these. Pretty big investment for a .22 though.
An SR-22 is $100 more than a stock Su-22. If you add the pistol grip, it's $80 less. However that doesn't include all the extras you'll be adding on the SR-22 just so it can shoot tighter groups.
Most people who have the SR-22 end up spending $1000-$1200 on the gun and upgrades. So spending $680 before taxes on an SU-22 is one way to go. Plus it folds and takes AR style mags

Building a VTR similar to this...buying parts almost completed!!!

I already have a 10/22 Marauder/Nomad kit, so I don't like the idea of the SR-22 to begin with. Very unhappy with the $hitty magazines that come with the kit though. Might need to find some of those battledyne mags. The SU-22 pistol grip is not $80, Lanz lists it at $180, so it is still a significant investment for the SU-22. Maybe down the road I could look into one, but it's a lot of dough for a plastic plinker.

Guess you don't know the cost of su22!
500 compared to 600 for an SR22. The pistol grip is 180. That you are right about. But add the cost of the gun to the stock and its $80 more than a sr22.
Fallow?
Isn't the nomad kit plastic. So what would the cost of a 10/22 and nomad kit be?
Lol what would the cost of an sr22 with nomad kit be?

Ive also had less ftf's and fte's than the boys i shoot with, But I also keep mine exceptionally clean (half the fun of owning guns is playing with then at home). I also regularly get 1" groups at 100-150 yards.
Dude you are FOS and I would love to see that. I watched a guy at the range with his 715 doing some accuracy testing with his. Seemed like a smart guy too. 5 shot groups were three-four inches wide at 50m. Not bad for a cheap plinker, but not 1"

I was not comparing the cost of a Sr22 to a SU-22, as I can't justify spending that much on a .22. $700 for a .22 just doesn't compute in my cheap mind. My 10/22 was manufactured in 1983 and was given to me, so it was as simple as buying the Nomad stock. And it is plastic, but it is solid. But, the mags do not function for $hit with my rifle.
