Best way to pull 22lr bullets...

Well, I had no luck finding "small rifle magnum primers"

All my LGSs don't carry them. Two, the owners swore there was no such thing. So that's not much of an option after all :-/

Well now. This will do nicely!! :-D

So I put some 35gr Varmagedon over 3gr of universal. Results were... spectacular! :)

I just made five rounds of the the 3gr and five of 2.5gr.

I fired a 3gr into a stack of paperbacks to check penetration. It was still subsonic, as there was no "crack" like that of a 22lr to be heard. It went just over an inch deep and expanded violently despite the the lower velocity.

Front and back.

It seemed a bit much, so I went to the 2.5s. Even quieter. The 5 rounds grouped at about an inch and a half at 25 yards. Minute of grouse. Good enough. Done for the day.

Then I decide to fire off the rest of the 3gr rounds just to use them up... and that's when something unexpected happened:

Four rounds. 25 yards. One hole. I was shocked. 3 crudely measured grains of pistol powder, and a bullet seated with a used lee "mallet" loader. I'm a happy camper. :) I can hardly remember why I started this thread, but I'm pleased with the results anyway :p
