I bought an EAL Sporter today from X-Caribooer...he bought it on here a month or so ago. Thus endeth my quest...

As if the quest can ever end. Presented the chance, you will buy a military, then presented a chance, you will buy another military with the scope and mount.

You are an addict. Seek help. The first step is to recognise you have a problem and mail all your Enfields to me. Further instructions towards your rehabilitation will follow, once this has been done.

You're right about the addict thing...:)

There are still quite a few of these rifles in circulation with the Canadian Rangers Northern Area- 1CRPG area anyway,I know of a few Ladies in my patrol and other patrols who prefer this rifle to the #4mk1,11 rifle.

Hi, very glad to hear from you on this! I'm really interested in pictures and information on these rifles. Any pictures of rifles in the hands of Rangers would be great to have, I'd like to compile as much information as is available out there.
Which model are you seeing out there of the two, there's some question about which of the two is the military version...do any of the rifles you see have the barrel mounted flip sight and 5 round mag or are most the rear Enfield type flip and ten round Enfield magazines?
I've never seen a picture of an EAL rifle with the military mounted scope and mount on it.
