Ok folks,
I own 4 Beretta pistols, all of which are the highest end models, about $6K invested for the stock bare bones pistols and not including another $6K in accessories related to these pistols - Ok so were over the $12k amount - just to put it in perspective.
In April 2008 I ordered some spare parts via Stoeger Canada through a guy named Peter as I have done on a couple of occasions previously.
When placing the order I requested one of the parts I needed was a Steel replacement trigger for the cheap vinyl trigger on one of my pistols and that I did not want Stoeger to ship another cheap vinyl coated trigger. Peter says he did not know the difference between the two triggers because, Quote "I do not shoot pistols."
Ya right and I believe in the tooth fairy too.
Well OK, order arrives and yes..........what do ya know a vinyl coated trigger shows up.
Out of a total of 18 parts ordered $300.00 plus dollars one $60.00 part is missing but I have been invoiced and charged for that missing item.
I phone Stoeger, talk to Customer service and explain what part is missing. Customer Service gal checks with Peter, he says they have to back-order the part and will take at least a month or two to get it, I briefly talk to Peter and explain he has sent me the vinyl coated trigger when I specifically requested he ship only a steel trigger, Peter says they have no steel triggers so ship the vinyl coated trigger back. OK I'm not impressed with the screw ups, but hey everyone makes mistakes.....right.
Still on the same phone call, I Specifically request to the Customer Service rep that, "she write in my file that this part was missing, is being back-ordered and is to be shipped to me as soon as it arrives so I don't have a dispute with Stoeger about this issue at a later date". The Customer Service gal assures me everything has been entered into my file and there should be no problems in the future.
Well I decide to just keep the trigger and sell it in EE rather than pay for shipping and insurance back to Stoeger Canada.
OK, It's December 2008 now - almost 8 months later, I call Stoeger and talk to Customer Service and explain the situation and decide to just cancel the order (I have already ordered over seas and get the gun part in three weeks) and request my credit card be credited for the missing part I have been invoiced and charged for. The Customer Service gal takes my updated credit card details and assures me my credit card will be credited for the $60.00 plus tax. Ok everything is cool.....not!
Three weeks plus later.....no credit on my credit card.
In January 2009 I phone Stoeger and talk to Customer Service and explain my credit card has not been credited yet. The Customer Service gal says they have no record of what I am talking about.
Well I explain the whole situation again and request they credit my credit card for the missing gun part. The Customer Service rep says she talked to Peter and nothing can be done until they do inventory sometimes in February. They obviously don't trust me at my word.
At this point I am furious with these pin heads and demand they credit my credit card immediately or I am calling my credit card company and disputing the charge. All I get from the Customer Service rep is a sympathetic apology but absolutely nothing is done to correct the situation.
What a bunch of retards, I am now in the dispute process with my credit card company and thinking of filing a complaint with Beretta, USA.
Stoeger obviously needs to be smacked.
Ya I know its only $60.00 plus dollars but its my $60.00 ...has any of you had similar problems with Stoeger Canada, if so how did you handle it and did you get your dispute resolved?
