Big Dilemma ** Trolling Thread **

^^ WOW ^^ That's messed up!

My dad's preferred WT set-up (top rifle);

At least they aren't "see-thru" rings....

I'm not criticizing the prayer, in fact I'm in favour of it - however it's just a bit creepy to take pictures during the prayer isn't it?

Did you snap that picture when everyone had their eyes closed while praying?

The old guys are curmudgeonly...... pics require stealth......

They are 7 for 10 this far... they can pray for me any time.

It has been a good year.... I have shot zip so far, but I am also the dogger and tend to the hounds..... we had 3 more join us so will see what happens....

Not sure about creepy, certainly irreverent. LOL

Supercub, you should stick to the .270 - you can find ammo anywhere if you forget yours at home. ;)

I can't believe how many times I've read that lousy excuse for choosing a chambering - and never once forgot my ammo at home.

The .280 is a more gooder choice IMHO, if you can remember yer bullets.

270 vs 280 and 338/06 vs 35Whelen threads are always the same. Someone always says that the bullet selection is better for one over the other. I think that if that's their reason for choosing that they should be shooting a 30-06 but usually they're not.

When in a "dogging" camp the ones do all the shooting, are the ones that have either had knee/hip replacement surgery or use a walker or both... take solace (I think), in knowing that someday you will be using a walker as a rifle rest also...

Let's just say that 4 wheelers make popular stands around here.....

That being said, I scrambled up all the younger hunters and we are setting up for an afternoon run...... only one older fella and a guy my age with the other 4 sitters having a combined 7 years hunting experience......

Put the youngans in the most prime shooting spots for this one, the watches the old guys (now napping) usually take...... hoping one of them gets into some shooting.......

That is what the gang did with me at 15 years of age... 5 deer in 5 minutes with an M94 .32 Spl... good luck!

That's why pumpguns are so popular in Ontario.

My dad used to hunt deer with hounds in Ont. Do people still do that there?

Yep.... we are doing that this week...... I inherited Houndsman duty this year..... which is an honour (hound owner Is previously pictured fudd I love)...... the hounds are his.....

Sitting watch and hearing the hounds baying and running towards you is a very special experience...... and yep..... lots of pumps and semis here......

The dogs in our camp get better treated than we do..... and deservedly so..... since Monday, I have put in 137 kilometres..... I wager that the dogs may have doubled that.......
