So I have about 300 rounds of .223/5.56 down the pipe of my M&P Sport II. No problems in those 300 or so rounds. Took it to the range the other day and that's when it started to failure to feed/jam on me.
So here is what I did.
- Used a bunch of different magazines (2 different brands)....not the problem
- Shot a different type of ammo...not the problem
- Took the bolt carrier group apart and inspected it, not dirty or grimy added more oil for lube....not the problem
So I swapped the bolt carrier group with my other AR-15. The bolt carrier group from the other AR-15 ran fine in the M&P Sport II so that rules out pretty much everything besides the bolt carrier group. The bum bolt carrier group behaved the same way in my other AR-15.
Took the bolt carrier group completely apart cleaned and lubed and took to the range today. This is the behaviour:
Load a round, fire, brass ejects, does not feed another round and if only one round loaded will not lock the bolt back.
What's everyone thoughts/suggestions? Who is the Canadian warranty centre for S&W?
Cheers,
