Acetone will not harm the rifling of a barrel, however we can plug the bore with stoppers if it makes you feel more comfortable.

Do you guys only use the high temp Cerakote or is the ambient air Cerakote used for things such as Polymer frames/plastic parts?
Is there a price difference if the color desired is not in stock and must be ordered?
Also do you guys do optics?

I believe the bake cerakote is used for all of the above, just with longer bake cycles at lower temps if I am not mistaken fto the more temp sensitive materials and instruments. This is just some of what I have gathered in my research to do my own in the future.

We use over cured Cerakote for 99% of the things we do. Just a lower temp and longer cycle. We use air cure for things such as ballistic armor.

We charge the same price for colors that we have and colors that we need to bring in. The only difference is that the lead time might be a week longer for colors that we order in.

what kind of camo patterns can you guys do? wanna do my 28" 870 with a spare 18" barrel, it does have some wear on the ejection side but rest is in good shape, what kind of duck blind camos have you guys done, and how much would it cost on the sale? not a ton available in the gallery
 
Can you apply cerakote to a synthetic stock and can it fill in scratches? I am thinking of painting my tikka t3 synthetic stock.
Anyone have any experience with cerakote on polymer?

Experience with their cerekote on my polymer glock frames, magpul grip and mags, and VLTOR stock. Good stuff for sure and would help hide dings but not sure fill in scratches. Beauty of cerekote Is how thin it's appliedj

We have done a variety of camoflauge such as Multicam and Kryptek. Due to the layering and stenciling process for Cerakote we are limited to less detailed camos. The closet match to something like RealTree Max-5 would be Kryptek Nomad. To Cerakote a Remington 870 with both barrels in Kryptek Nomad is $240 during the promo. The price applies to the the complete shotgun and the one extra barrel.

Cerakote can be applied to polymer stocks. The flexibility of Cerakote makes it ideal for flexible materials like polymer. In our experience Cerakote does not fill in deep scratches very well. Please contact us via email at sales@blackboxcustoms.com with photos of the stock and we can evaluate if the scratches are shallow enough to be filled in.
