I wonder how the polymer lower holds up to cold weather?
Yeah it looks really Sleek I actually like the looks of how it all turned out I just hope that for the production version they use an AR profile Magwell. The current one isn't terrible but it's definitely half ways between an AR Magwell and some of the other terrible 180 looking magwells... manufacturers need to learn that the 180 in the name doesn't stand for having the Magwell reversed 180°.Kinda gives me a BT GHM9 - but im 223 vibe

From the Ballistically Speaking Podcast as host Kris wanders the floor:
Looks like there is still an open slot, but at least it is smaller then the WKs.
Kris said he spoken with the owner, and that BCL will be releasing in the coming months a model that will have an AR-15 style rear charging handle using a proprietary carrier, but using standard AR-15 bolts. Maybe a DI-ish Stoner-psuedo piston running on 180 "captured" internal dual recoil springs?
The guns that BCL sent in are prototypes put together for the fRT. Rob did not even remember he had those guns at the Lab, they were like 2 and a half years ago. It was a bit funny.
There is another proto type approved that is more like a MCX-inside in some way.
But, before people get too excited and expect things to be on the shelf in a few months, what I heard is that they are not sure whether they are actually going to make any rifles or which one at all. The truth is probably more in the line " it may take us a few months to figure out what to make, to see what Trudeau is up to, and what it will look like if we decide to make anything".
The rifle sitting on display is not a production prototype. It is put together for the lab. Here is a bit of logic, you don't spend a lot of money to make something for the lab to look at - When they said it is GTG, money and time are then spent on figuring out how to make it or source the parts, and what the production prototype will look like after more refined number crunching.
I have been watching gun stuff for 20 years, i kinda have a good grasp that anytime people get excited by the "coming in 2 weeks" means "maybe coming in 2 months".
So buy the WK180C Gen 2 and some extra pistons, a Crusader Templar, or Sterling R18'S MK2 now, and save money to buy the BCL Siberian later?

Not entirely sure what any of that has to do with being the first to design an integral Operating Spring set-up to do away with the AR Receiver Extension (Buffer Tube), but sure - SIG definitely has some clout when it comes to marketing and financing their innovative developments. That is at least in part how they have managed to win both the new US Service Rifle and Handgun competitions in recent years. Say what you want about their abilty to compete in the Defence Marketplace, but you have to admit that SIG has been by far the most innovative ccmpany to come along in a few decades. Not only do they offer unique and well-considered solutions to common design problems (eg. the AR Buffer Tube), SIG also offers one-stop shopping for integrated designs that work well together such as Carbine, Optic and Suppressor packages. Nobody else in the marketplace offers the entire suite of integrated Firearm, Electo-Optic, Suppressor and miscellaneous Accessories. Nobody, not even KAC.
There's no evidence that the BCL offerings will actually ever make it to Market, whether that be because they decide not to pursue them or that the variant is banned before it is sold. If you're not worried about purchasing something that gets banned in the future I would say you have a decision to make whether you want to gamble and get one now or Gamble and wait for what might be the better offering but nobody really knows yet...
I saw a post on the BCL Instagram page saying you could order one of these rifles from a dealer via North Sylva
