Black Friday Powder Bulk Deal! Federal Gold Medal GM210M Limited Quantity Restock!

The price of powder went sky high and then finally came back to earth.

Primers will too. Be patient

I didnt buy Varget at $120 LB, look at the price now?

and I wont be buying primers at $389/1000 either

Well I was at the checkout on a $1000 plus order when they wanted a pic of my drivers license and one of my Rpal. Wont be dealing with them EVER. Have had multiple transactions buying guns or optics for $5K plus and never have been asked for pictures of anything. Im good with my email and pertinent Rpal info but thats more than enough. What I look like shouldnt matter!!! If this is the new norm Ill just buy from other site sponsors. I wasnt even purchasing a firearm, only gun powder.

Clearly you haven't bought a gun from a store in some time. It's the law, they have to compare your PAL photo to a secondary piece of ID if it's not a face to face deal, and all deals including f2f deals need the PAL verified by the CFP. Has been this way since May 2021 IIRC.

So no, you wont just buy guns from other sponsors, they should all be doing this now and could lose their business license if caught not doing it.

Only gun powder they shouldn't need it though. I'd have called them to inquire about that.

It also could be a NRCan requirement for the purchase of powder and primers.

Longstud didn’t make it clear whether he was buying in person or online, or whether he was buying firearms.

But for sure on an in person purchase they don’t need a picture of your PAL no matter what you buy and they certainly do not need your PAL if you are not buying firearms or ammunition.

Components (primers and powder) can be sold to any individual legally old enough.

Thanks. I was only purchasing gun powder and accessories, no primers or firearms or loaded ammo! It was an online purchase.Thought it was ridiculous.

Their system probably treats gun powder like its a firearm and asks for the same information even though its not actually necessary. Might be too complicated for their IT Department to have a bunch of different restrictions on products - this stuff is age restricted, that stuff is PAL restricted, thats RPAL, etc.

A quick phone call to them would probably have sorted it out. Wouldn't be surprised if you could just put in a fake PAL# and leave a comment on the order saying you're not submitting photos per previous discussion, thats exactly what I'd ask the guy on the phone about doing.
