There is no way everyone will be satisfied with any choice of any one rifle. As I posted earlier, I have decided to deal with this by changing the rifle in the design every year we issue shirts.

And which year can I expect to see a L-E featured?

See what I mean?

Well, I am hoping we can get a WW2 Tac match rolling at some point, together with commemorative t shirt.

By the way, all joking aside, this is by far the best one of the bunch:

Maybe I'll have to make my own version of one with an inkjet T-shirt transfer, unless it'll ever be for sale??

Perhaps next year we can submit original designs and take a vote at the last match of the year or something, for now I say stick a fork in it, she's done. Lets pick colours and move on.

Many of the earlier designs, including this one, were unsuitable for the process we were using for the shirts. The T shirt guy pointed this out to me when he reviewed the earlier designs. He said that we would be better off with a simple silhouette design that would show up clearly on a coloured background, so that is what I came up with. The designs with multiple shades of gray were impractical as each shade would require a separate 'pull' on the screen and drive the costs much too high. I took his advice and submitted this latest design, which he liked both from an aesthetic and a production point of view. Given this, and the many hours I have spent working with this idea, and the fact that up to that point no one else had submitted a complete, camera ready design, I am ready to go with what I have.

In terms of next year, if people have their own pics they would like to submit to be worked into a design, fine and well. In order to design a shirt, however, one person must be in charge of that design ... the 'committee' approach can only be taken so far.

You drew that? wow, good job. We missed you at the night tac match. There was only one set of NVG's.

Mmmmmmmmm we had her show up at one of our firehalls, got some pics of her with the crews on the truck.......will have to see if I have them on the ole hard drive still.....

I've been mulling this over and think that the answer to this is perhaps not one T shirt but 2 ... one to represent the club (TMSA Tactical Rifle, already designed and ready for production) and another, generic 'Tactical Rifle' shirt ...

The second option will take more work ... an illustration is fine and well, but there is more work involved in getting it to a useful form for this medium as I have found out. I will take this on, but will likely start a second thread to deal with that process. The design that Clead likes (shown above) might work ok on a white T shirt and is probably ready ... in the next thread I will include a poll for choice of design so submit designs away on this thread. Any submissions will have to be 'signed off' for our use by their creators.

In the meanwhile I will begin another thread for the process of orders for TMSA Tactical Rifle T shirts ... give me a few days, its been a busy couple of weeks with 2 matches and a gun show on top of the regular work grind. :)
