Armedsask said:You already have errors. The only truly restricted black rifle is the AR15. Everything else is classed based on barrel length. For this reason, the SCAR can be non-restricted if one re-barrels it. Perhaps make a note on those rifles highlighting this.
There's also the G36C, G36K (both restricted), G36P (non-restricted), MP7A1 (restricted if it counts), SAN CQB/Carbine (both restricted). The list goes on...
Correct me if I'm wrong but i thought Keltec's sub 2000 was non-res...
oh the m14, and sks i wasn't sure about they live in the main battle rifles, and red rifles forum respectively so i figured they can stay there![]()
It's still awaiting FRT.
I'm surprised that no one pointed out the irony in the fact that he omitted the M14 but put the Mini-14 on the list. The Mini-14 is just a scaled down M-14... and it's a hunk of s**t.
Anyway, I think you should list the M14, CZ-858, Mini-14 (I guess) and anything else that looks cool but I think having a removable magazine should be a requirement for the list (which eliminates most SKSs aside from the SKS-D). Also, being designed post 1950 would be a good criterion (again, eliminating the SKS).
If you want to get this list stickied, which would be good if it's complete, you should link the name of the firearm to to wikipedia and/or worldguns
Oh, and if it's restricted by bbl length, just add it to both lists (and then add an asterisk if you like)
I like the idea of this list and it could be a good source of info for everybody ...What about the Chinese copies ??? They should be included as well IMHO
