It took about 6 hours total time with an ancient Atlas 7B to turn a 1"x1"x5" piece of 6061 into the mounting.

A quick dip in the etch/chromate tank at work, 10g of polysuphide to hold it in place, a hit of black enamel and 2 days drying on top of the water heater to set it.

Seriously though, I'm not sure it works with the platform. I'm heading out tomorrow AM to try it out. It may or may not work.

Also, check out the ghetto sling. It is made from about 30" of 2000lb web strap, cut down and sewed over at the top, and sewed into a salvaged web fitting at the bottom. It's comfy and adjustable.

And later tomorrow I will purchase myself a set of bib coveralls and a straw hat.

Interesting.

They only link when I'm logged in.

Hmmm.

>epoxy

I used an aircraft fuel tank sealant. It's doesn't adhere nearly as well as an epoxy would, but it spreads load much better.

I'd be leery of shock-loading epoxy unless I could control the stiffness-matching between the components and the bond line thickness. It sticks like crazy, but can be brittle.

In this case I eye-ball interpolated the lower surface, so I have a fairly wide range of bond thicknesses. The polysulphide should handle that better.

Wow! I have to try that sometime! Now if I just knew what this thread was about, I could be happy.

I think you posted a link to a file on your computer.
So if your computer is not on ,no one can see it.

If you just want to post pictures try Photobucket its free.
But they are not any good for video.
