Blind magazine truck hunting question.

Everyone I hunt with has a negative opinion towards "road hunters" but they'd all jump out of the truck and harvest an animal in a heart beat if the opportunity arises during transit.
People that do most of their hunting from the truck enjoy things like, heat, music, and not having to haul their meat very far..... not nearly the same experience as hunting on foot in the bush but many people fill their freezers this way.

It's easy to see the appeal of road hunting if you think about it. It's also easy to see why people think less of it.

Actually I know of a few fellows in their 80's would laugh at some of the statements in here about justifying shooting from the road or driving to find animals.Age and disabilities don't stop many people and they still get out there

And I am indescribably proud to be hunting with my 99 year old grandfather this year

He's never missed a season. Rides a quad part way in, then hikes the rest. I can out hike him on the steep hills now, but he had me beat until he turned 92 and cut his leg up with a chain saw.

Here he is at 97 with a little buck he got.



We have FIVE generations at deer camp, and I couldn't be prouder to be a part of it.

November can't come soon enough!

And Kelly (and the Eastern gang) would call them lazy road hunters for doing so.

As I said earlier; they can all sit in their blinds over their bait piles and cast judgment and insults. It's a free country.

Just call it as I see it.But without personal attacks.

Many a hunter will only harvest game at the spot they have worked hard to set up, clearing trails, hauling bait, spotting game, setting up blinds and stands.

Some want the experience, some just want to say they are hunters.

So few want to work for anything more, must be an extension of the entitled generation.

Of course when someone starts a thread which basically asked how to make road hunting easier they will get jumped on.

Tried to hunt out my window at my "bait pile" , just couldn't get through the trees, had to get out and leave truck behind.

Hunt how you want but be cautious as to what you define as hunting, that is the issue here, which is now way off the original question and yes, I am also to blame for the derailment.

So before I have to go smacking out infractions again

what may not be legal in one province may be legal in other provinces, If you are going to start an argument on what is the "right way" to hunt based on what is in your little head, this will make me unhappy.
