BNIB SIG716 rifles do they come from factory shot & uncleaned?

Got my answer from MDC: "The rifle you received is brand new from the factory. No person has fired this rifle - other than the factory testing. You have purchased a rifle intended for LE customers; as a result, the test firing is more in-depth than a standard commercial rifle. Unfortuantley, Sig (nor MD Charlton) has the time or facility to clean the firearms before they reach the end user."

Thank you MDC!! I love my rifle even more :)

Glad you are happy, and that we were able to help you! enjoy your new rifle.

They could have charged extra, because of the extra test shots for LEO quality check ;)

Interesting idea... ;)

Looks like a new rifle.. Jeez people are such babies. So what if they test fired it 30 rounds, that is like 0.001% of the rifles life.

I could see if it was all scratched or dinged up, but dirty..? Clean it and shoot it. It will be dirtier the first time you take it out.

No factory cleans rifles after testing - and you don't want them to, because A) you know they tested it and B) you really don't want to pay factory rates (plus benefits) to someone (in either Germany or Switzerland) to spend close to an hour cleaning your gun.

I agree. I feel much better knowing that my rifle went through some extensive tests to ensure it is as per LE standards for reliability and accuracy as opposed to coming spanking clean. I will test it this weekend and post my results. Just finished fitting it with an ACOG :)

Ok, Call the dealer ,

What do you think the dealer will tell you

Yes it is used , and we sold it to you as New In A Box

From experience , go shoot it , and do not worry about it

Some guns are dirty by nature , even if they are piston driven
Then it is FILTHY. I'd certainly call the dealer.
