The "smart meters" ( for gas, water,and electric use) that are being installed world wide track everything you do in your home. With all the new appliances being "smart" they communicate with the meter and transmit all that info to the power company. All your daily habits can be seen from the time you get up till the time you go to bed. If you get up at 2am to take a leak it will be documented, because the light went on the the toilet was flushed. They will know in the future if you are using such things as 100 watt light bulbs. These meter are the biggest invasion of privacy ever brought on the public and will eliminate the last refuge of privacy we have, our homes! I deal with these meters and am very aware of what they are capable of doing. Do some research on "smart meters" and smart appliances. This is not tinfoil hat stuff it is fact.
