I love winchesters, I have an older push feed model and it is great, the CRF's that I have handled in store feel amazing. Since you are in southern ontario I would stick to the 270. Just for the fact that you can use it for anything small if the need arises. i'm in the same boat of looking for a "do everything" mostly deer and possibly moose gun. I love the 7mm-08, but having the option of using the 270 for coyote and other varmints here in southern ontario has swayed my choice. Just much more practical for the area. But hey, if you get the 308 it gives you a great excuse to buy another gun
