I believe all the 3" models were. The 29/629 Classic DX came with both the round butt wood combat grip and the Hogue rubber round-to-square conversion grip. The 7.5" Magna Classic only came with the round butt wood combat grip.

Yes, my 5" is a 629 Classic w/round butt. The Hogue hardwoods I mentioned are stocks that convert the round butt to a square butt configuration.
