Bored with my .30/06, what to do? - Becoming a Super .30

I prefer 2 guns over one so I chose the 25/06 and currently working on a 35 Whelen

If you have a .25/06 and a Whelen, how can you NOT have a .30/06??? Sorry, but your gonna have to buy one... Am I the first person to tell you this?

5 or 6 yrs ago "Bedliner" was the std reply here on CGN for such matters after one guy did it to a new Marlin lever gun IIRC.

30 + years ago I started hunting/loading for the 30-06 then I went thru the I have to have a magnum then for almost 20 years I used a 308 Norma mag.

Now I have even more powerful magnums and far less powerful standard cartridge chambered rifles crazy thing is I have two 30-06 rifles again.

Should have just stayed with the 30-06 would have saved a ton of money...

This thread has inspired me I pulled my shortened to 22" T/C Prohunter barrel in 30-06 out tonight removed my 375H&H barrel and popped the 06 barrel onto the frame.

Loaded up some 165gr Accubonds @ 2850fps = next time I'm out hunting I'm packing the 06.

Not hacking on the choice of rifle at all. The stamping adds to the cool.
