I love the German Mark V's. They are very well made and finished. They have a better feel to 'em than the Japanese versions to me at least.

A previous employer of mine had a stunning collection of unfired German Mark V in every caliber they were manuf. in, also a collection of Laser Marks in every caliber all displayed on a oil rubbed hardwood wall...until C 68 required them to be all locked away so he sold them all to one collector south of the border.

The Weatherby Mark V stock is one of the best stock configurations ever designed for handling recoil. The high comb recoils away from ones cheek instead of into it, while the butt recoils almost straight into your shoulder which reduces muzzle lift.
I have owned and used two 340s, and both were easier to control than most 300 rifles with low comb stocks.

Have one I bought from a friend a few decades back. Same as above except mine has QD claw mounts and a Hensoldt variable on it. Beautiful rifle. - dan
