Bought a Glock....and I'm liking it.

I have NY2 trigger on mine ~8lbs, I like it for use in a defensive tool and I can shoot just as good with it as a 3.5lb.

FWIW G17 have supported chambers, if you want a very nice supported chamber in 40 the BHP is the ticket. Also, some aftermarket Glock barrels offer fully supported chambers, but they can make the gun less reliable. IIRC The Glock 22 is the way it is so as to have increased chambering reliability in adverse conditions.

Replace that trigger, anyone who says an 8lb trigger pull is nice is either stupid or just plain stubborn and cheap. I have a 5lb and it's nice, much better than the 8lb stock trigger. I haven't tried the 3.5 lb one so I can't say anything about it.

I'm not stupid, stubborn or cheap. But thanks for the words of wisdom.

CanuckShooter: YOU ARE WRONG...

My Glock G22 came with 3 mags, night sights, and 8lb trigger...Got it from Sporteque, brand new.

CAPP325: Spend more time shooting than writing on the internet, or talk with a glock armorer or any damn gunsmiths. You will discover that your fear of GLOCK KABOOM is NOT FOUNDED.....well its founded on internet....lol

Barracuda...

You should contact Glock Inc and notify them that they are wrong as well. Do a little research....try their website, glocktalk, or contacting the Canadian Glock distributor. All 4 of my Glocks came with the STAAAAAAAAAAAANDARD 5.5# connector.

Now if you bought a POLICE PACKAGE.... they come with the 8lb connector, night sights, and NY1 trigger spring. Police ordinance changes the NY1, and 8# connector out for the 5.5# connector, but I am sure not all retailers do that, as some peopel like the NY1/8# combo.

The Standard Factory Glock comes with a 5.5# connector.

Have a nice day :D

Reloaded brass is always weaker than virgin brass, so the probability of case failure is higher. If the brass was previously fired in a pistol with a poorly supported chamber (i.e. a Glock), the risk of a kaboom is greater still. Personally, I would stick to factory ammo but hey, it's your life.

i buy from wolf bullets. id trust that they do a fine job and inspect their products

Notify glock they are wrong about what???

Im just saying you can have the glock with 8lb OUT OF THE BOX, maybe as a so called police package (im not LEO and that's what I got) , but still....from the store, stock glock...8 lb....:yingyang:its the just the point.... dont get mad at me lol...

Notify them that their website was wrong ;)

I'm not mad lol I tried to give my post a humorous tone but text does not always convey mood properly. Didn't mean for it to come off snappy :p:D

Wow, a guy just bought his first gun and he's already an expert on what's "founded" and what's not. For you information, Ken Hackathorn is not just a "damn gunsmith" but also one of the best firearms instructors in the world. Maybe you should call him up and tell him that all the Glock kabooms he witnessed while teaching his courses were a figment of his imagination.

And by the way, you should consider saying "lol" and USING ALL CAPS FOR EMPHASIS more frequently. It's really adds an air of credibility to your otherwise noob posts.

CanuckShooter: Its ok man! ;)

CAPP325: Let's not get into a fight ok? It just seems that nobody's concerned about glock KBs beside you and KEN HACKATHORN. L-o-L :dancingbanana:  --------- Caps lock and a lol...just for you

Well, I've got 30,000 + rounds thru the Glock 22 .40 cal I've been shooting since early 1995. Still waiting for the first fail to feed, fire, extract or eject. And still waiting for the first "ka-boom", too..................

And this was the case of most glock owners I spoke to and read about before I took the plunge and got one. Now I am one of the guys waiting for some kind of malfunction. I have tried every brand of ammo I can find and still waiting. I am not at 30,000 yet but I could easily see it happening. Maybe other guns can do this as well but the Glock seems to have a higher percentage of it's owners claiming it. Probably because such a high percentage of gun owners have Glocks, regardless as far as I am concerned they are PERFECTION! :D

Just for you, kaboom fans:
