Bought a surplus x95

Its not going to get taken from me. I know a lot of Rpal users here in my area with ar15s, and their ar15s still are at home but no longer registered to them

Our government has too many issues to even focus on that even

I got to handle the regular x95, trust me, I perfer it sbr, and i also got to handle a bern2 that a sbr of 8 inches

If I wasn't going to get a x95, the bern2 would be second on my list, but l like my ps90 and i want to pair it with a gun similar to it

Side note, the travor 7 or the version that shoots 7.62 is heavier then the regular x95.

I have a sks for a nr rifle, its heavy as hell when you carry the thing for a long period of time if you don't have the strap, and trust me when shtf, weight is going to be a factor. I rather have the thing sbr then be a full 18 inch rifle. And if you got a type 81 LMG good luck carrying that for a long period of time when shtf, that thing is heavier then my sks even which makes sense since its a machine gun converted to a semi

I don't think ill care what laws say because im going to refuse to give it up and ill stand by that and most people will stop caring about the laws when it happens

And I live in BC, they are more lazy then Ontario for gun banning and im in a small town

I got to handle some nice SBR from B&T to the ps90 from a friend who sbr it, to a sbr ar15 at a friends place before the ban. The x95 surplus that i also got to see in person is still a bit longer then my ps90 as well but not as much

At 8" a 300 Blackout is a better caliber choice.

Hate to break it to you...... More details and discussions on Reddit

The Canadian Firearms Program/Specialized Firearms Support Services (CFP/SFSS) recently conducted a technical inspection of
firearms imported by Canadian firearms businesses that were registered to businesses and individuals as the “Tavor X95”. It was
determined that these firearms registered as the Tavor X95 model were in fact the Tavor X95 MSW model.

The two models are different and technically distinct firearms. The Tavor X95 IWI US model (referred to above as the “Tavor X95”) is a
purpose-built semi-automatic firearm available in either non-restricted or restricted versions and manufactured in the United States by IWI
US. The Tavor X95 MSW model is a military surplus prohibited firearm imported from Israel and is a full-automatic firearm.

The verifiers acting on behalf of the Canadian businesses misidentified these firearms resulting in the prohibited Tavor X95 MSW being
registered as the restricted Tavor X95. These Tavor X95 MSW firearms would not have been permitted entry into Canada had they been
properly verified as prohibited firearms. There is no authority for a registration certificate to be issued in relation to this firearm therefore,
your registration certificate is hereby revoked.

Any questions regarding compensation should be directed to the supplier or distributor from whom you acquired the firearm.

To be fair. I didn't get the rifle yet and I didn't get the licence for it, so I never owned it yet and already it gets banned.

Well back to looking at the regular x95 or something else
I'll just have to live with 18 inch's for a 556

Bruh what... You literally said you bought a surplus x95 14 inch gun

I'm obviously happy for you that you dodged a bullet, but I'm confused as to why you said you bought it but in fact you don't even have a license for one. LOL

Are you suggesting that when the registration certificates were "nullified" all records pertaining to the whereabouts of the firearms were destroyed?

if you do an atipp on your ar15 registered they still have a lot while after the oic. i wont dream on what they do not have any more lol ...

No, but i have seen people keep their ar15s at home and locked up so.

Also i've seen the letters saying they had to turn it in similarly to the recent thing, its been three years and none of them that I know of did and they got their licenses still. It cannot leave the house at all unless you want a one way trip to jail

Im not saying that the whereabouts of the firearms are destroyed, I'm saying its a excuse that the rcmp can make if they go opps sorry we tried to ask nicely, but we don't feel comfortable. The issue the RCMP is there is little to no funding, and the incentive to just march into a place that has guns in said place even with the rules in place doesn't make them feel safe to do, that why you are asked to turn them in, not just march down to the rcmp offices. The RCMP don't want to put in too much effort to take guns anyways, they will try, but with the least amount of effort

The people who have ar15s are taking a risk in keeping them

I have a restricted pal, but when buying a r gun, you have to also get a license for that gun printed out same goes with my first R gun, and you have to wait. I bought it on ####### and i had to wait for the transfer to complete first, it won't likely happen now, and the seller is going to e transfer the money back

Since the seller just found out about it, and its a trusted sellers, im getting a refund back though e transfer for what i paid for, or i can just buy a different gun off from him

Edited: Sorry registration certificate thanks

This is one of those times, im going to say, you are very much right, and i just ended up eating humble pie.

Maybe one of the rcmp is on here and saw the convo and said mmmm time to prove this guy wrong. Wouldn't be surprising if its true, but I think its a case of, we need to do something to make it look like we are doing a job, oh lets ban this thing, its got something its not suppose to have.

Ah you mean the certificate/registration for the gun itself. That makes a lot more sense now. Cool!
