Bought H&K SFP9

I love mine it's been great, I sold my glock 17 not long after buying it. I like the paddle mag release now I use my trigger finger to hit it.

I've heard of this technique as well, I don't do it or practise it because I shoot IDPA. Don't want to get in the habit for fear of a finger call at a match LOL.

That's the way H&K Germany teaches it, you're supposed to use your index finger to hit the paddle.

Congrats on the great choice! I bought mine last year and have put many rounds through it. It is my IDPA gun and has helped me improve my scores. I've recently bought a P320 and ran it out for the last match. I love bought pistols but the SFP9 is definitely a great shooter.

Well...honestly if I had to pick only one right now and go shoot a match right now I'd pick my 320. But it's a 1A and 1B scenario. I like the weight on the 320 a little more. But the ergo on my SFP is a little better too. It may also be just a matter of wanting to shoot the newer toy as well LOL.

I bought an SFP9 because I wanted something without a DA first round for IDPA. I really like the gun but it doesn't feel as smooth or robust as my P226. One problem I'm having is that the paddle mag release keeps getting actuated when I put it in my Bladetech holster. I have to check/reseat the mag every time. Maybe need some Dremel work on the holster.
