Bsand, the upper is back and we will process your refund shortly. You may want to check the lower you were using as I took the NEA upper out of the box and put it directly only a Diemaco SA15.7 lower with no issues. I'll post pics in a minute as I can't get them to upload from my phone.

OP has some explaining to do.

No kidding.

...It was then. That I realized that the lower was out of spec.

My lower is in spec...

Clearly the OP is confused.
The sad thing is, despite Ryan posting pics showing the supposedly out of spec NEA fitting the Colt Canada lower just fine, all that most people will recall about this thread is, "NEA hasn't sorted out their QC issues yet". :(

Yup, another NEA problem thread. Quick everyone jump in and regurgitate crap you read somewhere five years ago.
Come on everyone, we're going streaking.:p

I don't install machines, that is what millwrights are for. I have never crashed a machine in rapid, why would you run the rapid at 100% until you have proved the setup?. at 100% it probably would hit pretty hard, never seen it though.

Jeebus, " that's what millwrights are for..." oh the lowly millwright. Please regale us with more of your machine setup adventures!

How tight was the fit on the front pin?

I tried my NEA 10.5 upper on a Colt, Bushmaster, and DPMS lower, and it would not fit. The pin would not go into the lower's hole.
This is after NEA installed a new free float rail and barrel nut (old style was loose and moved around)

Ya, I could have hammered the pin in I guess, but it would have been impossible to get out.

Look at my thread for pics as to why: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/1258005-NEA-upper-and-non-NEA-lower-fitment

This is not bashing NEA from me, I actually like the rifle now that I have it working. I just can't use the upper on any other lower, thats all.

I have the same problem with mine - had to hammer the front & rear pins in with a piece of 2x4 & punch them back out to disassemble. A shooters gotta shoot! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

thats funny, cause the other upper I got from the EE fit with a little tight rear pin. The bushmaster upper I have as well fits perfectly.

Not so funny for Ryan who had to pay your shipping from BC back to Ontario and refund your money for a part that that would appear to be "in spec".

OP has some explaining to do.

He used a polymer 80 lower and didn't even mention the name of the "polymer lower" in the op thread. It's an 80% lower that from personal experience has lots of issues. Everyone jumped on the NEA hate wagon without questioning his lower. And malice, I did read the entire thread. It's just a bunch of babies #### measuring on who knows mills more. That leaves the question... Why am I still reading this thread!? Barf.

Now wait a tick, you previously said in post #59 that your Bushmaster upper didn't fit your polymer80 lower and now you are saying it fit perfectly??? Care to explain?

Ya it didn't fit on my bushmaster either.

Didn't fit then fits perfectly...this thread is really starting to stink.
