Bought the dream rifle, or bought the farm, today.

4 bucks a case sounds like a bargoon - you wouldn't put unleaded in a Ferarri now would you??? That's a beautiful blaster to be certain, I'm certain that it has some great tales to tell and by the sound of things will have even more by the time you're finished with it and it moves along to it's next keeper...

I'd say 4.00per is about as reasonable as it will get on the 375FL. Such is life with the oddball cartridges.
There are certainly worse ones that that. Kynoch and Norma ammo are probably a bit pricey for trying out for fun rounds to get started with.

Enough of this "I'm hunting in Mexico" bullsh*t...when do we get to see some more pics and a fondle/range report.

If you're afraid the English blue blood won't agree with being taken out in the frigid climate in your neck of the woods I'll just gently point out that it's a balmy -1C at 9AM here. Just sayin...I'm here for you buddy.

Ha noted and a very kind offer, still hunting in the palms, burnt out datsuns, and old washing machine piles. Then straight North in one day for a three week stint in the bush to remind myself of reality.

Four bucks a case was indeed reasonable, and I'm whining and stretching it, as the first box was $4 a piece landed, the second $2.50 a case, still the priciest brass gathering I've done at over a grand, but I should be set for life now on Flanged brass.

Just finished a bunch of hunting, Ardent, and saw this thread, .......CONGRATULATIONS!! A Royal is the peak in doubles and I envy you in reaching that peak, plus obtaining a decent quantity of brass at a respectable price, ......I've paid a lot more to outfit some of mine.

You've earned it, enjoy it to the fullest!!!

The bear on the backburner for a while?

Well, the waiting is the hardest part. IIRC, Ross Seyfried has written that RL15 can be used in place of cordite, I think I remember the ratio, but obviously that isn't good enough.

Sad part is, I saw someone mentioning that Midway has (had?) 375FL brass on a clearance sale last week.
Figures, doesn't it. The thousand bucks on brass and dies part, I understand all too well. seems I cracked that mark on brass and dies and ammo for the 30R, probably over that on the 450/400 also.
I just have a heck of a time walking by that stuff in a gun show and not grabbing some. I know where there are 60rds of new 30R brass at the moment, I already have 300+,but.......
