Boyds'............Update

Might be cheaper for 2 because the box for 4 of them would be huge.

Still makes no sense.

If you can ship me two for $80, why does 4 cost $200? Why not just ship them as two separate shipments of 2, which would only be $160 total. There is no reason for 4 to cost MORE than 2 to ship. No good reason, at least.

if i order one stock shipping is 52 bucks if i order 2 its 81 bucks 3 stocks 132 bucks 4 stocks 203 bucks

And no info about what actions they make stocks for either. Pass.

Thats weird. Its cheaper to order two stocks twice at $81 each, than to just order 4 stocks? ($203) Some #### just doesn't make sense....

just going by wat i get from there website....now you might get better shipping rates by phoning em an talk to a sale person directly! two year ago when export limit was $99.99 i had to order some hardware from em cause it would have put first order over $99.99 so had to do stock on one order hardware on a separate order there shipping was $52 if you let there shipping calculate do it i phoned in told em it nuts $52 shipping on $16 hardware that fits in my hand he manual had to adjust shipping still cost 30 some bucks

Still makes no sense.

It is also incorrect... Boyd's "reduced" shipping costs for 2015 (actually since Nov. 25, 2014)... single stocks are down to $42ish (depending on locale), two stocks are $64ish, three stocks are $84ish and four stocks are $102ish... this is from actual orders placed and received.

Well I'm a wee bit pissed.

My 3rd Boyds stock just rolled in the door a 1/2 hour ago and opened it up to find a Nutmeg Varmint Thumbhole. I thought maybe I'd been the idiot and ordered wrong so got online to check at the Boyds website.

Nope, sure enough I did order the Featherweight.

I put the gun in the stock and it's got a different feel to it, something I might get used to.

Sent them a letter saying what happened and that I lived in Canada so I didn't want to go through the whole ordeal of sending it back after I waited this long. Just so that hopefully in the future this doesn't happen to someone else. More or less "give your guys out on the floor a slap upside the head" kind of letter.

First time I've ever been pissed at them.

I sure wish that discount shipping would apply to me when I order one

Have you ordered one lately? It applies to everyone, it is not discounted, it is a new lower rate structure. As I said, I have ordered over a hundred stocks from Boyd's.

I already saw the thread about Jerry maybe picking up the Canada sales if that's what your referring to.

No... I am referring to Boyd's policy on Canadian mix-ups... you keep the wrong order, and they ship you the right order at no charge... pretty good service (and deal).

That would be sweet, have to see what they say when they get back to me.

I'll keep you guys updated.

Maybe I should have waited a bit over at Savage Shooters before starting a thread about them, they're a site sponser and I'm a mod there, haha.

I think I am approaching 20 Boyds stocks on Winchesters, Rugers, Rossi, Savages, Browning, NEF, never had a bad one, also had one Richards on a Savage and it doesn't hurt my feelings that we can't get them anymore.

(Insert quotes here from previous posts about shipping cost)

Maybe I am trying to revive an old horse here, but I believe the shipping cost included customs clearing/cost of getting across border...

Dang, I love my Boyds Stock :dancingbanana:

Price and shipping prices are not only fair, they are well below reasonable.

This is not how it just went down for me - I get to keep the wrong 12 gauge BPS forend Boyd's sent to me due to their error (to sell soon on EE, along with the first 12 gauge forend I ordered due to my initial 20 gauge Internet order error) . Then after Boyd's trying to charge me a 10% restocking fee for their error after a month of phone calls and messages I was finally credited the full amount on Master Card for their error, and told to re-order the correct 20 gauge forend, which I just did over the phone this morning stressing a number of times 20 GAUGE FOREND only. Not ticked off, just frustrated - turkey season is coming soon.

Anyone know how long it should take to make it to southern Ontario after the customs clearance? Mine cleared customs on March 2 and says it is on its way to its destination. Doesn't seem to be way to track it once it hits Canada. Made it to the border on the 2nd after being shipped on the 27th of February. Seems strange that intakes 4 days to travel 2 hours from the border. Canada post is usually one day once it hits Mississauga or Kitchener. Not worried just kind of annoyed I guess. Don't they know these are the days of instant gratification. Jeez!
