Where can I find a boyds stock other than at boyds... they're out of the target varminter LA one in Pepper....

I believe Winchester had Boyds stocks on their Coyote rifles, buy one of those, although I think they're only short action, and come free with a barreled model 70 action! :p

I ordered a ross thumbhole for a 700 LA from them in January. They told me they had it in stock. 2 months later I got a letter that said the cancelled the order and refunded my Visa because they were wrong, they did not have the stock after all.

A month ago, (after giving up on the Boyds and the project I had in mind) I received one in the mail, complete with a credit card reciept. Not impressed.
 
I hear ya. You would think that there would be a Canadian company that could build "boyds" style stocks. After all, they are probably making it from Canadian lumber anyways.

There's a business for someone, now go to it and make us some nice stocks!:)
 
Do you have your heart set on a wood stock? Have you seen a Robertson stock? Any colour in the rainbow and then some. PM Ian, he will set you up. Made in Canada too.
 
I am a total fan of Robertson stocks. I have been in contact with Ian about his thumbholes and he sent pictures. This particular project was to be for my son and we ended up going with a used local stock.

I fully intend to do business with Ian Robertson in the future
