so i decided to splurge and buy myself a nice colt 1911 for xmas, i received notice that the blue titanium colt in 45 acp was back in stock, i started looking for one of these back in march and pretty much sold out everywhere. This one came up and i pulled the trigger seeing as it's kind of rare and unique, i don't do much shooting i mostly collect just for fun. i Bought myself a Dan Wesson Silverback for my 30th,and a kimber custom two tone no marks on these guns from use.
I ordered it Dec 24th, it was applied for Jan 5 and shipped Jan 7, i was away for 3 and a half weeks, just got home the other day with much excitement and anticipation.
I opened the package and can see a scratch on the frame, I'm contacting the seller business, but they are telling me they reviewed videos and shipping procedures, and inspected it no shipping damage.
I feel like they are going to say i'm responsible and they won't help me out
has anyone on here had one of these guns or a finish issue? i'm wondering if colt customer service will help out at all
it looks like it was impacted and scratched under the trigger guard, I' wondering what kind of coating this is, they don't say on the website, I'm wondering how durable it is or if it's just going to scratch or peel just from regular use? or get all marked up?
i have other 1911's and they are used and don't show marks like this.
should i try and get an exchange? a refund? or look for something else or just bite the bullet it'll get marked up from use?
